He has worked extensively in both workshop and field environments and understands the real demands of keeping machinery operational, safe, and compliant.

He’s built and scaled multiple successful businesses, developed end–to–end service systems, and led teams in delivering high–performance outcomes across a wide range of heavy industries. This experience gives him the unique ability to combine technical excellence with operational efficiency—and to provide hydraulic services that reduce downtime and increase reliability

Adelaide Hills Hydraulics is a family–owned and operated hydraulics services business based in the heart of the Adelaide Hills. Founded by experienced Mechanical Fitter John Stephens, we deliver reliable, professional, and responsive hydraulic repairs, servicing, and fluidpower solutions for clients across civil construction, mining, and heavy industries.

After more than a decade working FIFO in high–pressure environments, John made the decision to bring his skills home and invest in the region where he’s lived for the past six years with his young family. Adelaide Hills Hydraulics was created to provide local businesses with the same high standards, rapid turnaround, and expertise typically only found on major industrial sites
